Benefits for Military Personnel

We appreciate the service of America’s military personnel, and we have a dedicated team to assist you. The Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) may offer protection or relief to members of the military, their spouses, partners, and dependents.

SCRA benefits
With SCRA benefits you may receive:

  • A reduced interest rate of 6% on auto loans
  • Waiver of payment related fees such as: nonsufficient funds (NSF) fees, late charges, automated payment fees, deferment amounts, and repossession/auction fees
  • Protection from repossession
  • Protection from default judgments

Expanded benefits
You may qualify for state-specific benefits through the California Military Families Financial Relief Act of 2005 (CMFFRA), or in other states such as Louisiana, Ohio, or Pennsylvania.

Servicemembers are also provided protection from repossession if deployed in a hazardous area or deployed internationally in readiness for military action.

If you are a servicemember, including the Reserves or National Guard, the Public Health Services, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, or the Armed Forces of nations allied with the United States, and your loan was originated prior to your period of military service, you may be eligible for these benefits.

We also recognize that the financial stress experienced by some of our SCRA eligible servicemembers is equally experienced by their households and families at home. Therefore, in order to better support SCRA eligible servicemember households and families, we extend SCRA benefits and protections to obligations of a spouse, including a partner in a civil union or registered domestic partnership and dependents, even if the servicemember is not a signer on the loan. These protections will be provided if the obligation would have qualified for SCRA protection for the servicemember.
