How do I make payments on my loan?

We offer a variety of convenient payment options.

Automatic Loan Payment (ALP)
Through our ALP program, your payment is debited from your designated checking or savings account each month free of charge. There is no enrollment fee for the Automatic Loan Payment (ALP) program and you can enroll online through eServices.


Online payment
Payments can be made through eServices. You can transfer a payment from your checking or savings account to your loan account for free. Don’t have eServices? Register today.


Check or money order
Checks or money orders payable to Wells Fargo Dealer Services can be sent to the address below. Remember to fill in all sections on the money order. Please include the payment coupon from your statement and write the account number on the check or money order. Do not send cash.

Telephone payment
Payments can be made from your checking or savings account to your loan account by calling 1-800-289-8004. A $6 fee for an automated telephone payment, or a $12 fee for an agent-assisted telephone payment, may be applicable based on the status of your account.


Wells Fargo branch
Payments can be made at any Wells Fargo banking location at no charge, and a Wells Fargo account is not required. Please specify if a portion of the payment should be applied to the principal balance.


Bill payment
Payments can be made through your financial institution, if applicable.


MoneyGram
Payments are accepted at offices nationwide. You will need your Wells Fargo Dealer Services account number and Receive Code 1812. Third-party fees apply.

Western Union
Payments are accepted at offices nationwide. You will need your Wells Fargo Dealer Services account number, Western Union City Code CATX, and State Code TX. Third-party fees apply.

How do I sign up for the Automatic Loan Payment (ALP) program?
We make it easy for customers to make their payments through our Automatic Loan Payment (ALP) program. 

Sign On to eServices and select Automatic Loan Payment from the Pay icon or Payments menu. You can enroll in the ALP program or change/update your existing automatic loan payment.

Or you may download the Automatic Loan Payment (ALP) Authorization Form (PDF*), complete the document, and return it to us by mail or fax.

How do I change my due date?
To request a change to the payment due date on your Wells Fargo Dealer Services loan, Sign On to eServices and select Due Date Change Request from the Account Management menu to submit your request online.

Or you may download the Payment Due Date Change Request Form (PDF*), complete the document, and return it to us by mail or fax.

For your request to be approved, you must meet the conditions outlined on the Payment Due Date Change form. To confirm that your due date change request was accepted, please check the Account Summary page within eServices or call us at 1-800-289-8004, Monday through Friday, from 5:00 am to 7:00 pm Pacific Time. If your request is not approved, you will be notified by mail. Please allow one to three business days to process your request after it has been received.

How do I change my address?
You can update the address for your account online. Sign On to eServices and select Contact Information from the Profile & Settings menu.

If you are not enrolled in eServices, you can Register for eServices at any time.

How do I change or remove a name from the certificate of title?
Individual names on a certificate of title can be changed or removed. To request a change:

  • Visit your local Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to initiate the request. Depending on the change, please submit the appropriate supporting document(s).
    • Marriage certificate
    • Divorce certificate
    • Petition for a name change
    • Certificate of domestic partnership
    • Certified court order
    • Death certificate
    • State-issued identification
    • Notarized affidavit of same name statement
  • If the DMV requires a copy of the title, an electronic screen print, or an authorization letter to complete your request, we will need to receive a written request from you or the DMV.
  • If the DMV requires the original paper title to complete your request, we will need the DMV to request the title from us in writing. (Converting an electronic title to a paper title may take 4 – 6 weeks depending on processing time.)

How do I request authorization to take my vehicle out of the country?
If you need to drive or ship your financed vehicle out of the country, you will need a signed authorization from us. Authorization is for temporary travel only, and not to exceed a period of 60 days for non-military travel. We do not approve permanent relocation for non-military purposes. Your account must be current and in good standing to qualify for this authorization.

To request an authorization, please send us a written request with the travel dates and the destination country, along with a copy of the vehicle registration. Also, please provide the additional documentation for your specific request type:

Driving to other countries

  • Proof of valid insurance that:
    • Is effective during travel dates
    • Shows the vehicle identification number (VIN) of the covered vehicle
    • Shows Wells Fargo Dealer Services as the loss payee
    • Covers 80% of the current account balance or actual cash value

Shipping within the United States or to other countries

  • Proof of valid insurance covering the vehicle during shipping is required. This may be listed on the insurance policy as "shipping" or "port-to-port" coverage
  • Military customers: copy of applicable military orders
    • Military orders showing military coverage while the vehicle is in transit, listed as Privately Owned Vehicle (POV) or Authorization for Shipping may be substituted for proof of insurance

How do I request relief for my time in military service?
If you have been called to military service, or are the spouse, partner in civil union, domestic partner, or financial dependent of a person who has been called to military service, and you haven’t notified us of your status, please send us an email* or call us at 1-877-254-9687, Monday through Friday, 5:00 am to 6:00 pm Pacific Time, 7:00 am to 8:00 pm Central Time, 8:00 am to 9:00 pm Eastern Time.
